SK wins IOL FINAL4 Season 2

SK finally defeated fnatic this weekend and they did that in the most important match so far, the IOL FINAL4 Season 2 final.

SK are the winners of IOL FINAL4 Season 2, after they defeated fnatic 2-0 in the final. They have claimed the entire prize purse of $8,950 and 5 HP laptops.

The two teams met for the third time this weekend, as fnatic won both matchups yesterday, 2-0 in WCG Sweden final and 2-1 in IOL groupstage. This one started same as the last one, with SK winning the first map very closely, this time on de_dust2 16-13. Although first half ended 10-5 in favor of fnatic, SK managed to get what proved to be crucial last two rounds as CT. fnatic tried to hold on to their lead in the second half, but at the score 13-11 for fnatic, SK took over the match and won 5 rounds in a row and thus the map.

The second map turned out to be little contest as SK won the first half 14-1 with great T-side play, but also proved that there's something wrong with fnatic's de_inferno defenses today, as FairFrag too managed 12 rounds against them earlier. It was only a matter of time in the second half when SK would get the needed two rounds, and the map finally ended 16-6.
